About this event:
For many years the saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Silke Eberhard has left her mark on the Berlin jazz scene and has also received great international acclaim with performances on all continents (except Antartica!). In 2020 she received the Jazzpreis
Berlin in recognition of her achievements.
Silke works with many collective ensembles, including the duo with Ulrich Gumpert, duo with Uwe Oberg + trio with Gerry Hemingway, Matsch & Schnee, Satchi (w Maike Hilbig & Yuko Oshima), I am Three. She performs and has recorded with numerous musicians of the international jazz scene such as Henry Threadgill & Zooid, Aki
Takase, Nikolaus Neuser, David Liebman, Sandy Evans, Maggie Nicols, Hannes Zerbe, Dave Rempis, Mike Reed, Wayne Horvitz, Ken Vandermark, Dave Burrell, Michael Zerang, Joe Morris, Michael Formanek, Talibam! (Matt Mottel and Kevin Shea) and amo.
Silke Eberhard has featured in almost every Downbeat Critics Polls since 2015: 72nd (2024) – 71st (2023) – 70th (2022) – 69th(2021) – 67th (2019) – 66th (2018) – 65th (2017) – 63rd (2015)
This concert will feature a new solo work for Silke composed by Graeme Stephen as well as Trio music with Silke, Graeme Stephen on guitar, Stephen Henderson of the Fergus Macreadie Trio on Drums.

Venue Info
Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. It has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. Please get in touch if there is anything else you'd like to ask or tell us prior to your visit.

We do not check your right to a concession or name your price ticket. If you feel you can afford the full price please select this ticket. However, concessions prices are there to help anybody attend the show - if you need a lower cost ticket you are in the best position to determine that. No questions asked.
