About the artists:
From Brazil to Scotland: Giulia Drummond and Mario Caribé get together to explore not only the deep enchantment of Brazilian/Latin American music - past and present - but also different lands, different languages, creating a rich patchwork of sounds and cultures, including original songs that bring together all these influences. The songs reflect their journey from the birth place to the melting pot that is Edinburgh, the place they both chose to live in and where they found, each in their own way, a crossroads with the world. Giulia's deep voice, shruti box and drums combined with Mario's bass, guitar, vocals and percussion result in a very unique sound - an experience of striking beauty.
