Discover the ancient craft of whisky barrel making with former Head Cooper Ian McDonald. Ian will help you ‘raise a barrel’ from individual staves to a hooped and sealed cask. There will be an opportunity for a little ‘liquid refreshment’ in the shape of two classic Balvenie expressions. When your work is done you will have the satisfaction of knowing your barrel is going to be filled with Balvenie spirit and you will have a signed memento to take home with you! This experience will take place in the Cooperage on the Dufftown site.
Please meet at the Balvenie Distillery Visitor Centre.
