Armed Forces Day National Event 2026: A tribute to our Armed Forces, past, present and future.
We are honouring the history and current service of the Armed Forces. There is a unique opportunity for everyone to enjoy a weekend of spectacular events and celebrations, bringing the community and Armed Forces together.
What to expect
The celebrations will include a parade featuring military bands from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army and Royal Air Force, leading marching detachments of military personnel, cadets and veterans. The parade will include 3 PARA with Pegasus the pony, marching down Queens Avenue as a A400M performs a flypast.
- Three military parachute display teams will fill the skies
- An historic aircraft from the Royal Air Force’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast
- See a British Army Apache helicopter and a Chinook from the Royal Air Force
- Get up close to the British Army’s Boxer armoured vehicle
- Meet serving military personnel and veterans
