pool burn lock and sluice at Little Sparta

Join us at Little Sparta to experience the brand new work developed by poet Iain Morrison and visual artist Corin Sworn as part of their recent residency.

2:00pm ‐ 3:00pm
Little Sparta
Stonypath, Dunsyre, Biggar, ML11 8NG

Information

This year we launched a new residency programme, and partnered with Little Sparta to support the creation of collaborative, poetry-led performance work inspired by Little Sparta’s gardens and the work of Ian Hamilton Finlay more broadly. Poet Iain Morrison and visual artist Corin Sworn have improvised physical writing tools from the garden itself to create, destroy and re-create new work. Join them at Little Sparta as they asking how life morphs within systems built to order it and what ways of playful counter map-making might destabilise, rather than support, imposition.

A further performance will also be developed for the festival.

Tickets for this event are free with a purchased ticket for entry to Little Sparta. However as capacity is limited, advanced booking is strongly recommended. Advanced entry tickets can be purchased through Push the Boat Out from 3rd September via the link below. Anyone attending without an advance booking will be required to pay Little Sparta’s standard admission fee of £10-£15 on arrival and can be admitted to the event if any spaces remain unallocated on the day.
