About Caro Bridges
Known for her sweet, dark and earthy voice, astute lyrics and agile guitar skills, Caro Bridges has been percolating in Edinburgh for over a decade. A warm and versatile performer, she draws on a wide range of musical influences to craft anthropologically useful songs about the never-ending conversation between nature, technology, and humanity.

The daughter of two musicians, Caro grew up in Norwich building her skills as a guitarist in the city’s nationally renowned youth jazz orchestra and singing in a wide range of choirs. Finding her solo voice and songwriting capabilities in her early twenties, she developed her own band Caro Bridges & The River and released EPs 100 Years From Now (2011), From The River To The Sea (2013), and Be Terrible (2017), alongside playing and recording with art rockers Randan Discotheque and indie rock outfit The Last Battle. Since the pandemic shifted her focus towards community music work, she’s continued to collaborate with others including Ewan Macintyre, virtuoso handpan player Milly Hoddo’s Enharmonic Collective, and latterly in a peer collaboration with harpist Aurora Engine and violinist Emma Lloyd as acoustic-electronic woman band Machine Orchid.
About Rory Butler
Rory Butler grew up in Leith, a place he would return to after several years writing, recording, and touring across the UK and Europe.
His debut album, Window Shopping, was recorded live at Konk Studios with double bass and drums, capturing songs as they were meant to be heard — unguarded and immediate. Along the way, he found himself sharing stages with artists such as The Civil Wars, Anaïs Mitchell, Aoife O'donovan, Richard Thompson, and most recently Robert Plant.
His music sits quietly in the lineage of songwriters like John Martyn, Nick Drake, and Joni Mitchell — drawn to melody, mood, and the spaces in between. In recent years, he has returned home to Leith, where new songs have taken shape in a more intimate setting: just guitar, and close three-part harmonies sung with friends whose roots stretch back to childhood.
