Morven Mcardle, a long time friend of Pianodrome and excellent local Pianist and Songwriter joins us for our Friday Piano recital, 1pm at Pianodrome Bruntsfield!
Free Entry, By Donation. We think it's important to offer free music and culture to the Edinburgh communities who may not be able to afford it. We always pay our performers and largely rely on donations to maintain these shows. Please consider donating £5 to £10 on the day of the show if you are able :)
Morven McArdle is an alternative Scottish pianist and singer-songwriter. Compared to an eclectic array of musicians like Aldous Harding, Stereolab and Joni Mitchell, Morven characterises her music by playful rhythmically focused melodies lightening deep and thought-provoking lyrics; This finds her music darting around the edges of art pop and contemporary jazz, as well as weaving elements of classical and folk together. She performs with a band and solo, always having varied performances in venues such as The Jazz Bar, Queen’s hall, Sneaky Pete’s and Mash House. This is a return performance at the Pianodrome, where she has performed as a duo with Saxophone and Piano.
