Sunrise Walk up Ben Lomond

Join the G20 team for an unforgettable night-time adventure up Ben Lomond! Starting in pitch black at Rowardennen car park, you'll be greeted with a warm bacon roll before embarking on the climb. Together, we’ll aim to reach the summit just in time to witness sunrise.

This is a challenging and rewarding experience, and by participating, you’ll also be supporting the G20 Youth Project charity. Let’s make it a night to remember!

Remember to bring a head torch!

Meet at the Rowardennan car park at 3:00am sharp which you can reach by car from Glasgow.

At the car park: Bacon rolls for everyone (Please let us know in advance if you are vegetarian or gluten free)

Depart from carpark at 3:30am

What to bring: Bring a head torch. It will start off pitch black so everyone will need a head torch. Bring plenty of water, food, layers of clothing is important as it will start off very cold, good walking boots, waterproof jacket, walking poles (if you need)

Difficulty: Ben Lomond is considered an easy climb for beginner hikers

Time to complete: Most people take between 2.5 and 4 hours to reach the summit, and between 4 and 6 hours for the full trip.

Portable toilets: There are portable toilets at the Rowardennan car park. Remember to go before you leave as there are no toilets on the climb.
