A Lothians border crossing from Vogrie Country Park to Glenkinchie Distillery
Join Midlothian Ranger Service as we venture south from Vogrie, crossing the Tyne Valley to Pathhead. We leave Midlothian and stride on, taking in fine views over the Forth, to Whitburgh Mains.
From here we follow the Moor Road to East Lothian via farm tracks and fields, to the small hamlet of Peaston. The final stop of the day is the Lowland whisky distillery at Glenkinchie.
The walk covers 8 miles on countryside paths and farm tracks. A free bus will return you to the start.
There is a £3 parking charge in the visitor car park at Vogrie. It is less than 10mins to walk from there to the meeting point at Vogrie House.
